It’s been a deeply troubling and challenging summer, as the Covid-19 pandemic continues amidst the ongoing uprisings and calls for systemic change and racial justice. How can we balance the deeply nourishing quality of rest and the unsettling quality of unrest, both necessary for our spiritual well being and the ongoing work of justice, healing and repair? Rev. Lissa begins her ministry with a two-part sermon series exploring the need for both, centered in our Unitarian Universalist values and principles. Together, let us gather strength and encourage one another, living into the “new normal,” pacing ourselves to meet the unexpected challenges and joys of the fall ahead. On August 23rd, Rev. Lissa leads us in exploring Sacred Rest, and on August 30th, Rev. Lissa leads us in exploring Sacred Unrest.
