Click here to watch a video of the Service.. Imagining Radical Faith: Community Reflections from GA 2022. UUCLB had a robust delegation of members and staff attending this year’s General Assembly. This morning we bring back the learnings and reflections of UUCLB members who attended general assembly in person in Portland Oregon, and/or via computer from their homes, along with our Director of Music Ministries Francisco Ruiz.
Those who have not attended an annual General Assembly cannot know what they’ve missed, but they’ve probably wondered about all the excitement that seems to attend this annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists. Members of our congregation who attended this year’s GA have prepared a worship service designed to bring you some of what they found at GA ’22: information, inspiration, insights, along with new connections and some surprises. You will get a taste of the opportunities they had to worship, witness, learn, connect, and make policy for the Association – all without passing along any of the exhaustion that frequently comes with attending this five-day event.
Twenty-three people from our church attended GA ’22, and each one has their own stories to tell. Be reminded that it’s never too early to begin thinking about next year’s GA, which will be offered again as a multi-platform event. We expect that about half of the participants will attend online, with the other half attending in person in Pittsburgh, PA. Dates are June 21-25, 2023.
