This week our friends at Urban Community Outreach, which serves people experiencing homelessness, as well as low-income people who are housed, in the downtown area, are asking for our help in collecting peach/fruit cups, pasta, mac n cheese, uncooked beef/chicken, spam or other canned meats (with pop off lids) and bottled water.
Donations may be dropped off at the First Congregational Church, 241 Cedar Avenue, on Saturday, 10 am to 11 am.  UCO staff will set up a table in the doorway at the second alley door and donors are asked to put donations on the table. Staff will remain on the other side of the table and keep a safe distance from donors.
If you prefer, you may drop off donations at Sandy Kroll’s home, which is near the church, but please contact her by Friday (; 562-986-9886).
UCO thanks us for our support in allowing them to improve the lives of people who are homeless and others who are in need.  Please consider donating to UCO at
