Social Justice Forum with LA Voice organizers – Sunday, January 9, 2022

11:30 am on Zoom.

LA Voice Executive Director, Reverend Zach Hoover, will be in our pulpit January 9 to share his thoughts about faith-based community organizing and to talk about what UUCLB’s congregants can do as members of LA Voice.

Our Social Justice forum, which will be held from 11:30 to 1:00 on zoom, will feature LA Voice organizers. LA Voice staff and members of the congregation will speak about our current community organizing work and the progress of ICO’s merger with LA Voice. Here’s the link to join the Zoom forum meeting at 11:30 am: for the forum

At the forum you will learn about the 1:1 listening campaign that is being started throughout the LA Voice network and throughout the PICO CA network (statewide). This is the moment we’ve been waiting for. If you’ve ever wondered what community organizing is about, please join us at the forum.

LA Voice is a multi-racial, multi-faith community organization that awakens people to their own power, training them to organize together to transform our County into one that reflects the dignity of all people. LA Voice believes all people have power and a voice. Every day LA Voice amplifies that power by uniting diverse faith voices to stand-up for what their communities need, winning changes that improve the lives of all Angelenos.
