Meet the ‘Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of California’ aka UUJMCA

The UUJMCA’s vital concerns are with public policies that uphold and promote our own UU Principles. Behind those concerns lies their day-to-day work, which is developing our skills of engagement and organizing so that we and other UUs across California can educate, organize, and advocate for such policies.

The main focus for this work has long been in three areas of concern – Immigration Justice, Climate Justice, and Healthcare Justice – each of which has a statewide Action Team addressing the issues related to it. Your involvement with any one of those teams is welcome, as is the possibility of forming Teams of volunteers around other issues.

For a more thorough introduction to the UUJMCA, check out their website, at uujmca.org. They’re also on facebook and twitter.
