Planned Giving
PLANNED GIVING offers ways for you to extend your support for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Long Beach (UUCLB) and Unitarian Universalism beyond your lifetime, while practicing sound financial planning now for yourself and your family.
Many Ways of Giving
You can find many ways to make a provision for a planned gift. To learn more about this, you are encouraged to reach out to members of the Planned Giving Committee via email.
Printed material about Planned Giving is available in the church office as well as information from the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), which offers a thoughtful and comprehensive exploration of planned giving on their website. There, you will find information and language to help you make a straightforward bequest in your will. You will also find a wealth of information about other types of giving programs, such as annuities, real estate, trusts, stocks and others.
ALL gifts are welcome, no matter the size.
Confidential Legacy Intent Form
Informing the church that you have made a planned gift is important to ensure that the church ultimately receives your bequest, as sometimes those gifts are overlooked in the final disposition of property. The form allows you to withhold the specific terms of your gift, if you wish, while giving the church knowledge that a gift exists. On that form, you can also request that your anonymity be maintained.
Click here to download the form: Legacy_Intent_Form_UUCLB. Submitting the form automatically qualifies you for induction into the UUCLB Legacy Circle. When you’ve completed it, submit the form to the Minister for secure storage.
UUA Umbrella Giving Fact Sheet
The Unitarian Universalist Association’s Umbrella Giving program enables you to provide for a single gift, which the UUA will be responsible for distributing among various UU entities, according to your directions – such as a UU camp, a UU seminary, another UU church or the UUA itself. Leave a Lasting Legacy
We recognize that there are many demands on your financial resources. The Planned Giving program is here to provide you with valuable information to care for your financial resources and help you navigate the giving process at the appointed time. We invite you to visit our informational display in the church office or email our team to get answers to your questions.
If you have questions or want to talk with someone from the Planned Giving Committee, call the church and we will get in touch or reach out to Planned Giving via email.
The planned giving committee is a group of volunteer church members, committed to explain and provide information to people who wish to arrange for future gifts. We also honor those who have already made such provisions, and offer workshops on ways to increase church members’ financial literacy and maximize their finances.
