Be sure to set aside the evening of Tuesday, February 26, 6:00 – 9:00 PM, for “a night of empowering stories from those on the front lines of the homelessness crisis.”  You will learn from the experts: those who have experienced that condition, as well as some who’ve worked directly with this population. How serious is the problem, and how can it be better addressed? How much do we care??
The setting for this provocative program is the unique and impressive Museum of Latin American Art (MoLAA), 628 Alamitos Avenue, Long Beach. Sponsor for the event is a new outreach program by the Greater Los Angeles United Way, called “Everyone In.” The program’s goal is to GET EVERYONE HOUSED.
At a time when governments in our area are considering directing money toward increasing the numbers of emergency shelter beds and affordable housing units, there’s much for community members like us to become aware of and to care about.
