Accessibility and Inclusion Ministry
Radical hospitality means that we are all full participants with gifts that are essential to everyone one of us in living our faith. The AIM team’s mission is to increase the accessibility of the church campus and the inclusive nature of the UUCLB community for persons with disabilities.
We have:
- Looked at our grounds, worship space, class and meeting rooms, offices and restrooms, doorways, signage, and more;
- Looked at the attitudes, practices, and awareness of staff and congregants;
- Presented worship services, presented a workshop, and hosted an education forum;
- Equipped the Lounge with an Assistive Listening System and upgraded the hearing equipment in Wylder Hall for Sunday services.
The AIM Team is currently inactive but in the future we expect to resume our efforts to create a more accessible and inclusive community for all regardless of disability. Contact Social Justice Council if you are interested on joining the AIM Team when it is reactivated.
For details about whether our campus and programs will meet your needs, see the Accessibility of Building and Programs page.
