Plan: A proposed or tentative project or course of action
UUCLB is on a journey from where we are today to where we, as a congregation, decided we want to arrive in the near future. To guide us, the Strategic Vision Committee has developed a road map of sorts. Our “road map” shows projects and actions that are important to reaching our objectives. It is a Long Range Plan for the next five years (2007-2012) that has two parts. The first part of the Long Range Plan is a Membership Plan that reviews our current membership services and projects goals for improving such services. The second part, the Strategic Plan, focuses on the elements which must be in place (over the next five years) to achieve our congregational goals of improving our physical facilities and programs.
This plan is a consolidation of input from you, the congregation, historical data, and assumptions used to project where we will be along our journey. You are invited and encounaged to attend the congregational meeting on December 2nd. There we will decide weather we will adopt this plan and what, if any, changes are needed in the assumptions. This updated document includes a footer on each page containing "Strategic Operating Plan Draft 12/02/2007" and the page number. It marks newly included text in underlined blue and deleted text in red strike through. Following are the changes in this document.
- Added paragraph regarding Planned Giving, pp 3
- Updated timing for Capital Campaign. This caused many dates in the document text to be one year later.
- Revised plan for Interim minister from 1 to 2 years. pp 9
- Added estimated cost of Audit to Finance Budget in 2008/2009.
- Revised Alternative 5 to reflect the use of some Endowment Funds for Building, pp 13
