The three summer and three winter PSWD YoUUth Camps are created and overseen by the Pacific Southwest District of the UUA's Camps Ministry Team. The Team's mission is to develop and support safe, quality camp experiences for children and youth within the context of Unitarian Universalist principles and purposes. Program staff are volunteers recruited from congregations throughout the district. Counselors are young adults who have been trained in the district's CIT program.
Mark your calendar for November 11-13, 2011! Don't miss our Long Beach trip to deBenneville Pines! Every year we plan a fun church family weekend away to rest, refresh and enjoy the beauty of our local mountains in community. Look for information in the Advance and on this website for registration details.
Camp de Benneville Pines is located at 6,800 feet in the San Bernardino National Forest, approximately 45 minutes from Redlands, California. Within walking distance of Jenks Lake in a forest of towering cedars, pines and oaks, de Benneville is the perfect location for enjoying the natural beauty of the forest and mountains. Accomodations include winterized, heated cabins; bedrooms with shared baths; hot running water in all bathrooms; meeting rooms for workshops; and delicious, homestyle meals served in the lodge. Vegetarian and vegan options are available if requested with registration.
There are other themed weekends open for adults and families. See calendar here. Summer Camps – To Be Announced |
